Astro-American philosophy, also known as American Astronism, refers to the presence of Astronism in the United States of America (USA). This country is under management and philosophical jurisdiction of The Institution of The Philosophy of Millettism for the United States of America, a national subsidiary for the worldwide Astronist Institution, in addition to the supersubsidiaries each holding jurisdiction over the 50 individual states within the United States of America.  The Institution of the Philosophy of Millettism for the United States of America oversees the nationwide and international issues of Astro-American philosophy. However, it is the supersubsidiaries of each U.S. state that oversee the construction and maintenance of observatories and planetariums throughout its jurisdiction.   This jurisdiction stretches across all states within the country and its overseas territories of Guam, American Samoa, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, each of which hold a supersubsidiary. The District of Columbia also is also set to hold The People’s Grand World Eidouranium of America, which is to be the world’s second largest sopharium. History of Astronism in the United States. Astronism has held a presence in the United States since the inception of the former in 2013. Astronism's spread to the United States occurred simultaneously or almost immediately following its initial dissemination in its origin country, the United Kingdom. This immediate dissemination of Astronism to the United States occurred as a result of the majority of Astronist content and materials being produced in English as its primary language. Only after some years was the full range of Astronist content completely translated into other major languages which stagnated Astronism's initial growth in non-English speaking countries as a result. This, of course, was the not the case for Astronism in the United States that began to flourish almost immediately and Astronism continues to grow as a minority religion in the United States today. Astronism is not currently recognised as a religion by the US government which has caused considerable setbacks for its wider dissemination in the country. However, in November 2019, just six years after Astronism was founded, the Astronist Institution's Demographics of Astronism report stated that 358,000 Astronists were living in the United States.
